The Benefits Team is dedicated to providing a wide range of health resources for current and future employees of the County of Marin.

Benefits Eligibility For Regular Hire Employees

Member Eligibility

To be eligible for County of Marin benefits, employees must be regular full-time employees or part-time employees who work at least half-time. Eligible employees will receive a "fringe" allowance to help cover the costs of medical, dental, vision, group life, and long-term disability insurance.

Dependent Eligibilty 

Eligible employees can sign up:

  • Their legal spouse or registered Domestic Partner for benefits like medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. They need to show proof of marriage or domestic partnership.
  • Their own children, stepchildren, adopted children (including children placed for adoption), or children from their spouse or Domestic Partner for health care benefits up to age 26. They need to show proof of birth certificate.
