   Babette Papineau, College of Marin student introduced herself to the Women’s Commission.
7. Discussion: College of Marin Student Discussion 
   Babette Papineau discussed her recent Title IX case against College of Marin Professor Joe Mueller. Ms. Papineau is interested in getting help to establish policies, so it won’t happen again.
   Sonia Saltzman commented that the Women’s Commission does not have oversight into the college. Members may make public comments in an individual capacity. Heather McPhail Sridharan suggested Ms. Papineau meet with College of Marin trustees.
    
8. Discussion & Vote: Executive Board & Officer Elections

9. Transportation & Childcare Support for Commissioners
   Leslie Belingheri explained the importance of requesting childcare and transportation support for commissioners so that there is easier access for meeting attendance, Alisa will ask County Counsel regarding steps for requesting this support.
10. Discussion & Vote: Adoption of Commission Policy Agenda   
    Cheryl Timoney asked for further discussion on the College of Marin issue and commented that it sounds like a health and safety policy agenda issue. Self-governing can be toxic for women and that this is worth discussing.
    Heather suggested broadening the topic to treatment of women and girls in the school environment from a safety perspective.
    Sonia suggested a panel on school sex assault to raise awareness.
    Leslie Belingheri will speak with Lindsay from YWCA about ideas for students.
    Cheryl and Cris Criollo will take this on as part of the policy agenda subcommittee.
11. Discussion: Amend Commission Vision & Mission Statement
    Commissioners reviewed the vision statement that was voted on in April 2026.
     
12. YWCA / Marin Teen Girls Pilot Program 
    Leslie Belingheri and Lindsay from YWCA have been discussing a pilot workshop for teen girls. They have hit some roadblocks with girls under 18. Leslie will be bringing ideas to the commission in the future.
    Cris Criollo asked if this would include the same teen ambassadors. Fran Calle La Bou commented that many have graduated from high school and moved on, but she has all the girls’ contact information and keeps in touch. Tables at high school club fairs are a great place to find girls who are interested.
13. Subcommittee Updates – All Commissioners    
    October 6 is the Center for Domestic Peace Panel and Purple Ribbon Awards. There will be a C4DP Resolution coming up at the BOS Meeting. Leslie suggests that all commissioners attend.
    Fran has joined the Community Partners (teen) subcommittee. Fran has the application for the teens to join the Women’s Commission
14. Report: Chair Update – Sonia   
    Sonia thanked the Commissioners. This is her last meeting.
15. Open time for Commissioners + Q & A 
    Heather will forward information on Measure P.
    Commissioners thanked Sonia for her work on the commission.
