Commissioners shared summer traditions. - Discussion & Vote: Bylaw Amendment to add five Youth Advisory Members – Sonia
Discussion regarding new by-laws adding youth members. Youths will not be voting members of the commission.

Motion to Approve the 2026-2027 Women’s Commission Slate of Officers, Delegates and Nominating Committee
LB/CCT/p - Discussion & Vote: Approve MWC Policy Agenda – Cheryl and Stephany
Cheryl asked that the Commissioners review the Policy Agenda to get the Policy approved.
Discussion regarding policy issues on civic engagement included in the agenda.
Sonia: The commission should monitor gender equity, public service, Supreme Court decisions.
Eboni: The Mission Statement should include “regardless of race, ethnicity, income level, or social status.”
Leslie suggested commissioners review the original ordinance regarding the role of the Women’s Commission.
Discussion regarding the four main pillars of the Policy Agenda: Health & Safety, Economic Opportunity, Climate, Environment & Resilience, and Civic Engagement.
Sonia reminded the Commissioners to review the Policy Agenda so that it can be voted on at the next meeting.

Leslie reviewed the current budget with the Commission. - Report: History of the Dipsea Event – Heather
Heather discussed the Dipsea history event which she had attended. - Report: State Commission Meeting – Caroline

Domestic Violence Awareness Month is in October
Women’s Equality Day is in August and Sonia would like a commissioner to work on it with her. - Open time for Commissioners + Q & A
Cheryl: The NACW will have a virtual conference on July 28. It is free and all Commissioners may attend.
Marin Women’s Hall of Fame: The 40th celebration will be in January 2027 and will celebrate all the inductees from the last 40 years. There will be no new inductees this year and will honor all the women who have been elected. - Adjournment
